Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 for snowmobilers & snowbikers.

This introductory AST 1 will take place in Scotch Creek, BC and is hosted by the Crowfoot Snowmobile club.

This 2 day course is your ticket to winter fun & adventure in the backcountry.  It’s perfect for those interested in learning more about backcountry safety, sledding in avalanche terrain, terrain assessment and snowpack evaluation, and companion rescue.
Day 1  8:30am-4:00pm – Indoor theory day with some outdoor learning for basic rescue techniques
Day 2  7:30am-late afternoon – Field day at Crowfoot Snowmobile Club

Required course equipment:
-Digital 3 antenna transceiver (no analogs), shovel and probe. *Rentals available at check out.
-Airbags are not mandatory but encouraged.
-Mountain sled or Snowbike.
