DESCRIPTION:Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 for snowmobilers & snowbikers. \nThis introductory AST 1 will take place in Vernon\, B.C. at Innerspace Water Sports. \nThis 2 day course is your ticket to winter fun & adventure in the backcountry.  It’s perfect for those interested in learning more about backcountry safety\, sledding in avalanche terrain\, terrain assessment and snowpack evaluation.Day 1  8:30am-4:00pm – Indoor theory day at Innerspace with some outdoor learning for basic rescue techniquesDay 2  7:30am – late afternoon – Field day at Hunters Range Snowmobile Club \nRequired course equipment:-Digital 3 antenna transceiver (no analogs)\, shovel and probe. *Rentals available.-Airbags are not mandatory but encouraged.-Mountain sled or snowbike \nWe want to give a big thank you to Innerspace Watersports for hosting us every season.  They’re more than a watersports store.  They specialize in snow bike products and carry a wide variety of winter sports gear including safety equipment and sledding brands.  They’ll get you set up with everything you need to be prepared for a safe adventure in the mountains.
