DESCRIPTION:Avalanche Skills Training Level 1 for Snowmobilers & Snowbikers. \n\n\n\nThis introductory AST 1 will take place at in Vernon\, BC \n\n\n\nThis 2 day course is your ticket to winter fun & adventure in the backcountry.  It’s perfect for those interested in learning more about backcountry safety\, sledding in avalanche terrain\, terrain assessment and snowpack evaluation.Day 1  8:30am-3:30pm – Indoor theory day in Vernon\, BC. \n\n\n\nDay 2  7:30am-5pm – Field day at Hunter’s Range Snowmobile Club \n\n\n\nRequired course equipment:-Digital 3 antenna transceiver (no analog)\, shovel and probe. *Rentals available.-Airbags are not mandatory but encouraged.-Mountain Sled or Snowbike \n\n\n\n\n                \n                        \n                            Release of Liability Waiver\n                            Please read the Release of Liability Waiver carefully prior to completing registration and Click “Submit”. \nYou can find it in the drop down menu at the top of the page.\nPaper copies will be provided in class. Ski and Board courses are typical held in bounds at Silver Star or Big White\, with touring options available.
