2 Day Avalanche Safety Training Level 1 for backcountry touring.
Day 1 8:30am – 3:30pm – Indoor theory day in NATC.
Day 2 8am – 4:00pm – Field Day on Mtn. @ Silver Star. (Lift tickets not included in price)
This 2 day course is your ticket to winter fun & adventure in the backcountry. It’s perfect for those interested in learning more about backcountry safety, ski/boarding in avalanche terrain, terrain assessment and snowpack evaluation.
Required course equipment:
-Digital 3 antenna transceiver, shovel and probe. *Rentals available.
-Airbags are not mandatory but encouraged.
-Alpine Skis or Snowboard

Paper copies will be provided in class. All Students are required to fill out and sign a paper copy on day one. All participants under the age of 19 will require signature from parent or legal gardian.
