Avalanche Safety Training Level 1 for backcountry touring.
Day 1 8:30am – 4:00pm – Indoor theory day with some outdoor learning for basic rescue techniques
Day 2 7:30am – late afternoon – Field day TBD
This 2 day course is your ticket to winter fun & adventure in the backcountry. It’s perfect for those interested in learning more about backcountry safety, sledding in avalanche terrain, terrain assessment and snowpack evaluation.
Required course equipment:
-Digital 3 antenna transceiver, shovel and probe. *Rentals available.
-Airbags are not mandatory but encouraged.
-Ski touring or splitboard equipment
